The Seacoast Fringe Festival will play in Portsmouth New Hampshire October 7-8-9 2010. Portsmouth is one of the most attractive tourist oriented town in America. Big enough to have first rate theatres, restaurants, shops and a huge breath taking waterfront park with an outdoor stage. We're and hour from Boston and Portland ME. The town has hip sophisticated villagers. They support and enjoy first rate art, theatre and films. There are at least ten theatre spaces within walking distance. We're looking for lively creative avant garde acts. There are many perfect outdoor spots for performance artists and street buskers. In addition to all day shows there will be workshops in theatre arts for adults and children. Masks, puppetry, stand up, improv, acting, public speaking, and costume creation Phase I Through advertising, mailed fliers and media interviews the call will go out to performers. We will enlist the help of Portsmouth theatre professionals and line up venues, permits, merchant co-operation, town plans and maps will be Pulled together. Because this is our first year a jury will select the acts For our festival to gain a positive response we will guarantee that any show our fans visit will be first rate. Phase II Summer 2010 Venue availability, fees, travel information, all the fun stuff will go out to participants. We are budgeting for an extensive ad campaign. Press releases, media spots and newspaper ads will appear a month in advance in Providence RI, Boston MA and Portland ME We are finding enthusiastic volunteers and meeting with seasoned professionals.
